👉Repertorisation: ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

✔ H.C.Allen writes in the introduction to his "Keynotes" , "The main work of ;the physician in every case is to compare remedies which are similar in some respects (with similar symptoms) and differentiate them from one another." ✔ Fortunately, the most up-to-date repertories, starting from Kent's, have classified remedies with similar symptoms (comparisons). ✔ That is why repertorial work assumes importance. ✔ Kent says: "if Boenninghausen used a repertory with the limited remedies then proved, how much more do we need to consult it?" ✔Intuative prescrining, kent says, comes gradually to the experienced artistic prescriber. It belongs to all healing artists, but if carried too far it becomes a fatal mistake, and must therefore be corrected by Repertory work done in even the most mechanical manner". ✔In a well taken case there will be some characteristic symptoms which are indispensable. It is these Indispensable symptoms which help us to differentiate remedies. Repertorisation (comparison and Differentiation) can be frustrating if we do not follow certain techniques which experience has taught, Viz. ✔Totality does not mean the numerical totality, but the Characteristic totality. Cease counting the little strings of symptoms. Take broad outline of mental and peculiar symptoms and see to it that there are no generals in the case that oppose or contradict. (Tyler) ✔A lot of time and labour can be saved I repertorisation by using the "Eliminating symptoms." In following this method first arrange all the strong, uncommon and peculiar symptoms (mental, physical General and peculiar) in the order of their outstanding nature and their indispensability to the case. ✔ Then take the first two rubrics as Eliminating, when starting repertorisation. When writing down the Repertorising chart, write down only three and two marks remedies against these two rubrics. ✔The remedies thus selected may not exceed 10 or 12. The next step is to write down the marks, whatever they may be, only under the remedies already written down in the earlier step, against the remaining rubrics. ✔When this chart is fully written down, make a total of the marks obtained by each remedy and the number of rubrics it covers. The remedy covering the largest number of rubrics and with the highest number of marks will be the remedy for the case/ But before prescribing, go through the Materia Medica to make sure that the drug picture matches the disease picture.
